Sophie’s Cellars Wine Club (Sophie’s Sippers)
By joining the Sophie’s Sipper Wine Club, I certify that I am at least 21 years of age. I agree that I will receive my Sophie’s Sipper Club Wine Shipments in accordance with the Sophie’s Cellars wine release schedule. I understand that my club membership is ongoing and agree to belong to the club for a minimum of one year. I may cancel my membership after one year if notice is provided to Sophie’s Cellars in writing at least 30 days prior to my next scheduled shipment. I will inform Sophie’s Cellars of any changes to my contact, billing or shipping information at least 30 days prior to my next scheduled shipment. I authorize Sophie’s Cellars to charge my credit card 7 business days prior to each scheduled wine shipment. I understand that the estimated cost per wine club shipment is approximately $160 for 4-bottles which is based on a 10% discount for wine club members off retail prices. The final cost for each club will be emailed prior to each release. Estimated costs are exclusive of tax and shipping, which vary by region. Should I choose to customize my club, the final cost may vary further. I authorize Sophie’s Cellars to delay shipment of my wine when necessary to protect damage from adverse weather conditions. I understand that I am responsible for all costs incurred if my wine shipment is undeliverable due to outdated or inaccurate contact or shipping information, or if a person over the age of 21 is not available to sign for the shipment upon delivery.
Shipping & Returns
Shipping costs are determined by weight and include the cost of deluxe wine shippers and adult verification at delivery by UPS. All wine shipments require an adult (over 21-years) signature for receipt. Delivery driver is required to ask for ID to verify age.
If an item in your order isn’t available for immediate shipment, we will notify you and offer a substitution recommendation or provide the option of holding your order until all items are available for shipment. We cannot ship wine or items that include wine to PO Boxes.
Sophie’s Cellars does not ship on weekends and major holidays. Additionally, under extreme weather conditions Sophie’s Cellars reserves the right to delay the release of shipments to ensure product quality.

In some instances state law regulates product availability and/or wine purchase limitations. Working within state and local laws may prevent our ability to fulfill order requests.
Out of stock items
Though we continually monitor inventory to ensure product availability, there are times when products may be out of stock. If that occurs, wine representatives are available to suggest comparable substitutions. In cases where a substitution is necessary, we will call you before shipping and provide the option to select other items. If you decide not to make a substitution, we will ship available items minus the out of stock item(s) or cancel the order if you prefer to do so. Your credit card will not be charged until we ship your order, and you will not be charged for out-of-stock items.
Credit card refunds
Sophie’s Cellars processes refunds to the credit card used at time of purchase upon receiving your returned shipment. Please allow 1-2 billing cycles for the refund credit to appear on your statement.
Returns policy
Sophie’s Cellars guarantees the quality of all our products and services. Your satisfaction is our first priority. If for any reason you are dissatisfied with your order, please contact us or call 707-865-1122 within 30 days of receipt of your order for assistance. Sophie’s Cellars will not accept a return without prior authorization. Cancelled and/or returned orders are subject to a 25% restocking fee.
Following the wine trade tradition, all bottles ten years or older are purchased at the buyer’s risk.
Payment
Payments to Sophie’s Cellars online are made securely via Stripe® which accepts all credit and debit cards in US dollars.
Sales Tax
Sophie’s Cellars collects Sales Tax in California. Tax for orders shipped to California will have sales tax added to the order.
Privacy Policy
Sophie’s Cellars respects the privacy of our customers and will not sell or share your information with third parties. Sophie’s Cellars may contact you by phone or email to verify an order. If Sophie’s Cellars is unable to contact you by telephone, we may choose to cancel an order. If Sophie’s Cellars cancels an order, no charge will be made to your credit card.
Cookies
If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
